Zombie Night Terror

Zombie Night Terror is a single-player action puzzle game. The player controls a spreading zombie outbreak in a pixel-art city plunged into chaos, with the objective of guiding the horde through urban environments and exterminating the human population. The story is presented through stage introductions, dialogue snippets, and environmental storytelling, gradually revealing how a strange new drug has unleashed the apocalypse.

The core gameplay is inspired by crowd-control puzzle mechanics, similar to that of Lemmings. Zombies move forward automatically and cannot be directly steered, so the player must assign mutations or abilities to alter their behavior and influence the flow of the horde. Mutations include turning a zombie into a crawler that climbs walls, a blocker that redirects others, or a jumper that clears gaps. These abilities cost DNA points, a resource harvested from consuming humans, which introduces a layer of management and prioritization.
