Monster Girl Quest: Part 1

The game runs on an NScripter, using various lines of text or words to interact with others, move places, fight enemies, and the like. The game is also very linear, following a specific path with no sequence breaking or directions to another path. However, there are many sidequest areas, most of which have a big impact in later parts of the game.

Combat in the game is turn-based, where Luka and his opponent take turns to defeat each other. Luka has a variety of options to defeat his opponent, and likewise the enemy employs various attacks to defeat Luka.

As an eroge, the game is well known for its rape scenes. These scenes occur at random instances in the story or when being defeated by an enemy. Rape scenes can be viewed in the Monsterpedia after seeing them.

The storyline frequently uses foreshadowing, presenting seemingly minor details or hints that later contribute to a bigger overall plot.
