Overview

Doraemon is an arcade platform game based on the anime/manga of the same name. You control the titular character, a blue robotic cat from the future with a phobia of mice, over three stages of play. In the first stage, your time machine has been stolen and you and the gang (Nobi, Shizuka, Gian and Suneo) have to search a building and locate all of the parts. You walk or fly around the different levels of the building, avoiding enemies that appear from some of the doors. There are also mice that scurry around the screen, which will cause you to freeze in fear if they touch you. Occasionally, your sister Dorami appears with a bonus item, which will give you the ability to dispose of enemies (boxing gloves, air jets, etc) or make you invulnerable to enemy attack for a short period of time. Some of your kid friends will also appear from behind the doors, carrying parts of the time machine if they find them. Once you have collected all ten parts, the stage ends. You use the time machine so that you and the kids to escape from the building, but something goes wrong and you end up in the prehistoric past... In stage 2, you have to avoid pterodactyls, sauropods and cavemen with throwing weapons, find the kids and bring them back to the time machine. Once all of the kids are collected, you can escape from the past. But something else goes wrong, the time machine breaks into parts, and you find yourself in the distant future. In stage 3, you have to both find the missing kids, and collect the missing pieces of the time machine, all while dodging UFOs and what look like robotic crabs. Once this is completed, you return back to your usual time. You are then given a bonus game, where you solve 15-tile slide puzzles, after which the game loops from Stage 1.
