Overview
Super Robot Taisen, or Super Robot Wars, is a series of Japanese tactical role-playing video games produced by Banpresto, and later Bandai Namco Entertainment. Starting out as a spinoff of the Compati Hero series, the main feature of the franchise is having a story that crosses over several popular mecha anime, manga and video games, allowing characters and mecha from different titles to team up or battle one another.
Super Robot Taisen A was originally released for the Nintendo Game Boy Advance, the letter "A" in the title stands for "Advance". An enhanced remake of Super Robot Taisen A, known as Super Robot Taisen A Portable, was released for the PlayStation Portable
The story revolves around an organization called the Shadow-Mirror, which exists in a parallel world where events happened in a different way than the original game world, thus making the state of the worlds different, though a bit similar at times. Its leader, Vindel Mauser, desires a world of eternal war to make humanity improve more through war. His plan is to send his agents towards another dimension, spy on the defense forces of the world in order to make adjustments on the attack, and eventually conquer it.
