Overview
Skyhawk is a 1-player side-scrolling arcade game for the BBC Micro. Colleagues from the player's special operations unit are close to annihilation. From their defeat will be born the most terrifying threat the planet has ever known. As the sole surviving chopper pilot, the player must cross open ground from shelter to sentry. The player controls a helicopter than can fire forwards or drop bombs. The player must avoid tanks that fire along the ground and planes that circle and fire towards the player. Soldiers exit shelters and run along the ground. The player must land and pick up soldiers, and then transport them back to the starting point. A 25 second timer counts down, but is refilled when soldiers are rescued. The player is destroyed by barrage balloons if time runs out. The player starts with three lives. Not to be confused with Skyhawk (aka Falcon Patrol) by Bug- Byte Software.
