Overview

He-Man and the Masters of the Universe is a side-scrolling brawler featuring He-Man, She-Ra and pals battling their way through Eternia to defeat the evil Hordak. Created in the OpenBOR engine, up to four players hack and slash through 28 levels of arcade fun based on the classic 80's cartoon. Hordak has invaded Eternia, banished Skeletor and Evil-Lyn from Snake Mountain, and plans to steal the Diamonds of Power. To stop him, choose from a sizeable roster of playable characters, like Man-at-Arms, Orko, Sorceress, Teela, Skeletor, Evil-Lyn, Ram-Man, or even the Thundercats' Lion-O. Each character has their own special moves like flying or summoning the big cats, BattleCat and Panthor. There's a Story mode and Versus mode, with a nice variety to the level design, mixing in platforming and shooter stages with ally protection, mazes and time-limited gameplay. Along the way, the heroes will encounter boss fights against some of the most memorable villains from the series, including fan favorites Beast Man, Mer-Man and Trap Jaw, among many others.
