Fathoms Deep

Fathoms Deep involves taking control of a diver that has to explore the ocean and collect a number of keys. The keys have to be placed in a keyhole and will then allow the player to collect diamonds that are protected by a force field. Additionally, there are pearls that can be collected for bonus points. Only one pearl can be carried at a time, and therefore it is necessary to return each to the diving bell of a submarine.

The game is played from a side view and the ocean is made up of a number of connected screens. There are numerous dangers that have to be avoided such as sharks, jellyfish and ships. Any contact with these or colliding with the sea floor or cave walls will lead to lives being lost. It is also necessary to keep track of the oxygen level and return to the surface for a refill or pick up a canister when it is running low.
