Overview
Robot Battle is a 1-player science-fiction themed arcade game for the Apple II. The player controls a small character, whom can move in 8 directions. They player is armed with a small laser, which can be fired in one of these directions. The goal on each level is to avoid enemy robots, and destroy them with the pistol. Humans will walk onto the screen, and the player receives 1000 points if they are rescued, but the humans can be destroyed by walking into enemies. At later stages, beacons appear on the map which will destroy enemy or player characters when touched. When the player clears all robots in a stage, they progress to a more difficult stage. The player has a total of 3 lives, and when all are lost, it's game over. The player receives an addition life for every 50,000 points accumulated.
