Once Upon a Time... The peaceful kingdom of Thaarland has been built up by King Terehl, Queen Mahlania and their people. A heavily guarded and nearly impregnable stronghold protects them from the conquerors, raiders and other threats which are common elsewhere in the land. One day, the evil wizard known as Morthaz succeeds in infiltrating the castle and taking possession of the throne. Only a few of the inhabitants manage to escape his treacherous sorceries. The survivors are forced to take refuge in the inner forest. With the los of their King Terehl and his Queen, the Thaarlanians know that their lives will never be safe. It is up to you, the last hope of the Thaarlanians to end the brutal tyranny of Morthaz! It is now time to enter the Castle of Madness.
