Funky Head Boxers PLUS

Funky Head Boxers is a slapstick boxing game adapted from the arcade game of the same title. This console conversion plays similar to the arcade version but includes significant changes and new content. Notably, the cast of boxers, originally consisting of Sega development staff, has largely been replaced with real-life comedians and actors represented by talent agency Yoshimoto Kogyo. This version includes a new "Champion Mode" in which the player selects a boxer and must train them to increase their stats by winning bouts. There is also a standard versus mode against either the computer or another player.

The Plus edition of the game, released several months later, includes the boss characters unlocked to play as by default and has various other minor polish but is otherwise identical to the original release.
