Planet Joker

Planet Joker is a vertically-scrolling shoot-em-up with a strong story presentation. A mysterious army has invaded Tokyo, and it's up to a special crack team of JSDF mech pilots to defeat the invaders. The player chooses from one of seven different mech suits, each of which has different stats and a different set of attack abilities. In addition to regular shots and bombs, there is also a charged shot, and three different weapon types which can be swapped and upgraded by collecting items throughout each of the seven stages. There are also two competition modes: a time-attack mode to reach a set score as quickly as possible, and a caravan-style score attack mode with a time limit.
