Vadims

Overview

Vadims is a falling-block puzzle game designed by and named after Vadim Gerasimov, one of the original developers of Tetris. Blocks of two tiles fall from the top of the well and must be arranged; these blocks can appear in either horizontal or vertical orientation, and consist of red and white triangles arranged such that when two are placed together, the triangles form a diamond. Creating a diamond of one solid color will clear all blocks that form part of the diamond, allowing blocks above to fall down into their place. Blocks cannot be rotated between orientations, but can be rotated so each face is toward the screen; forming a square from a solid color will turn those blocks to crystal, which can only be destroyed by clearing an adjacent block.

The game includes several different game modes: a standard single-player endless mode, a single-player time attack mode where the player clears blocks to proceed further down the well, a puzzle mode in which the player must uncover and clear a special golden block, and a two-player competitive battle mode.
