Toride II Adauchi Gaiden

Overview

Toride II Adauchi Gaiden (released in March 1994 as Pai Toride II - Adauchi Gaiden) is a classic solitaire mahjong puzzle arcade game developed and published by the Japanese studio Metro. The title roughly translates from Japanese as "Revenge Side Story - Tile Fortress II".

Unlike traditional four-player Riichi Mahjong gambling games common in 1990s Japanese arcades, Toride II Adauchi Gaiden is a puzzle-matching game. It tasks players with clearing layered layouts of tiles by matching identical pairs, similar to Shanghai or Mahjong Solitaire, but framed with a competitive and progressive "fortress-tile" theme.
