Stanley's Sticker Stories is the fifth game in Edmark's Early Learning Family of educational games designed for young children. The interface is point-and-click and click-and-drag, and instructions are given verbally when the mouse is rested over an icon. On the main page, Stanley the sea otter introduces the player to the game, which allows a child to create his own animated story using stickers, music and special sound effects on a chosen background. The player can view a sample story to get an idea of how his finished story might look; when he selects See How to Make a Story, Stanley will take him through all the steps. Once the player chooses Make a New Story, he is taken to the neighborhood map, where he can select from fifteen different backgrounds to use in his story, including a plain white background for those who want to include a lot of text. From the story page the player can choose from a large number of stickers featuring characters familiar from other Edmark games such as Bailey's Book House and Millie's Math House, and more, as well as other character and object stickers which can be resized and animated. Here, the player can also add music and sound effects or record his own sounds to attach to the stickers on his page. Text is added from here as well; the player can select from four fonts, choose a text color and decide how it should line up. If the player needs help thinking of a story idea he can click on Stanley, who will show an idea for a story that uses numbers, or one that uses letters and words. As in all the Edmark Early Learning games, adult options are accessed by pressing Ctrl/Alt + A in Windows, Option/Command + A on a Macintosh. When the story is finished it can be saved and played back in See-A-Story mode and printed from the main story page.
