The free camera can be positioned almost anywhere around the table, letting players find that perfect angle to line up their shots. In addition to the one-player mode, a multiplayer option lets players run a tournament for up to eight players. Using the game engine from Jimmy White's Whirlwind Snooker, this game recreates pool in minute detail. A bold 3D graphics engine with realistic physics and millions of shot permutations (in terms of direction, speed and spin) is at the heart of it. Three versions of pool are offered - UK and US 8-ball as well as the fast-paced all-action 9-ball game. There are 20 computer opponents, with the hardest of them being almost unbeatable, as well as two-player and trick-shot modes. Unlike the original release of Whirlwind Snooker, you can save more than one game on the disk at a time.

A top-down racing game where you race on tracks in various countries. As you race, be sure to pick up any power-ups such as money and repairs. You should also avoid running into things very much as your car will explode if you have too much damage. If you are smart, you can slow your opponents down a lot by running into them in certain ways, however. Play the game in quick race, or tournament mode, or choose to play a friend in link mode. Race each track and try to set records as you strive for first place in each track and your name in the high scores list. If you play in the tournament mode, you can buy upgrades for your car between each race. This is not an option for the quick race mode.

This game is considered by many gamers to be one of the most realistic and difficult racing simulators. RBR was not made to be modifiable, but despite this there are mods available due to a large online community. The game was originally an offline racing game but user created mods have enabled online play. A sequel to the game is unlikely, due to the death of Richard Burns in 2005. In addition, after the PC release, Warthog was sold to Gizmondo, who went bankrupt in 2006. Since the release, the publisher SCi Purchased Eidos Interactive in an all-share offer, winning a bidding war from then-former EA man John Riccitiello and Eidos management.
