Nebula Commander

GCE Vectrex - Homebrew - 2005

Craig Aker created a unique RTS (real time strategy) game for the Vectrex in 2005 with Nebula Commander, which is like no other Vectrex game to date. Play against the computer enemy or better yet, crush a friend’s dreams of dominating the nebula. In Nebula Commander, you control the nebula by conquering all who oppose you! One or two players must gather up resources and create and launch weapons to destroy the other’s space station while defending their own in turn. Race to mine space crystals for energy necessary to build destroyers and missiles, construct your armada and launch your attack. All this is done while defending you space station against attacking aliens.

Revector

GCE Vectrex - Homebrew - 2004

Your goal is to out score your opponent in a 7 minute timed match. You can score points by shooting your opponent or by picking up power-up items. Power-up items (available in game one) appear randomly on the playfield to be picked up by players, having various effects and lasting either a certain time or with a set amount of uses. If neither player picks up an item after several seconds they will disappear. Once a game’s seven minutes have run out, the game will end once one or both players have destroyed the others’ vehicle (or they destroy each other at the same time). Revector allows you to take-on another player head-to-head, or a challenging CPU opponent. The game features a rather unique vehicle control system with the joystick controling both rotation and thrust.
