Tharsis

Tharsis

Windows - Released - January 12, 2016

Tharsis is a turn-based strategy game which explicitly uses dice to determine the outcomes of your actions. Spaceship Iktomi is on a mission to Mars when suddenly one of its modules blows up. At every turn, the situation deteriorates and new modules present problems which might damage the ship or reduce the health of its remaining four crew members. At each turn, you assign one action to each of the surviving crew. Each astronaut has a few hitpoints and a few dice which can be rolled to repair a module, generate research, gather resources which depend on the module he/she is at, or power a special ability which varies with the crew member. Each action destroys one die, which can be regenerated by consuming food or by special actions. At the end of every turn you choose an additional crew action, whose effectiveness depend on the stress level of the astronauts. Your mission is to have at least one member of the crew (and the ship) survive for 10 turns — even resorting to cannibalism if necessary.

Woah Dave!

Woah Dave!

Sony Playstation Vita - Released - January 6, 2015

Woah Dave! is a frantic, score-chasing arcade game where players gun for digital glory by destroying monsters, stealing their loose change, and triggering more than enough explosions to deplete the O-Zone entirely. Have we mentioned it's also incredibly difficult? Everything on the map--including your ammunition--is trying to kill you. And don't even get me started on the game's hard mode. It's borderline impossible, because apparently people who play games are masochists.

Woah Dave!

Woah Dave!

Nintendo Wii U - Released - August 20, 2015

Woah Dave! focuses around Dave Lonuts and his survival during an alien invasion. Players will need to jump around the various platforms to avoid the aliens. Hurling eggs, skull bombs and explosive WOAH blocks aid in killing the aliens. Killed aliens drop pennies which can be collected to increase the player's score. Occasionally, alien ships appear on screen. Destroying those causes all enemies and alien eggs to explode. There is also another mode called Bonkers Mode that contains more aliens, lava and chances to get killed. The PlayStation 4, Wii U and Windows versions include a local 2 player competitive mode.
