11-A Side Soccer

Amstrad CPC - Released - December 13, 1989

Originally published as part of the '4 Soccer Simulators' compilation (and later re-released as part of the 'Quattro Skills' compilation), 11-A-Side Soccer was the most traditional version of football released on the compilation and allowed up to four players to play simultaneously (with two teams of two players each).

Indoor Soccer (Codemasters)

Indoor Soccer (Codemasters)

Amstrad CPC - Released - 1989

Released as part of the '4 Soccer Simulators' compilation (along with 11-a-Side Soccer, Soccer Skills; and Street Soccer), Indoor Soccer sees the action move to inside a hall setting - now the ball doesn't go out of play for corner kicks or throw-ins and will instead bounce off the walls. Teams go from 11 members a side to 5 and games tend to be a little more fast paced and intense. Up to four players can play (with two players on each side).

Riding the Rapids

Riding the Rapids

Amstrad CPC - Released - 1987

It’s time to go canoeing down the rapids. Navigate the four courses and try to beat the record time on each one, manoeuvring your canoe through the pairs of flags and pitting your wits against the fast-flowing river. On some courses, you’ll even have to go through some of the flags backwards! Time penalties are given to you if you miss any of the flags or fall into the river.

Soccer Skills

Soccer Skills

Amstrad CPC - Released - 1989

Released as part of the 4 Soccer Simulators compilation, Soccer Skills remained an exclusive to the package. Unlike the other games on the compilation, Soccer Skills didn't offer 4 player co-op action, and was limited to two players competing simultaneously (or of course one player vs the CPU). Focusing in on the skills that make a good footballer, the game requires you to take part in a series of mini-games including dribbling through cones, practicing penalties and getting fit in the gym.

Space Ace (Players)

Space Ace (Players)

Amstrad CPC - Released - 1987

Not to be confused with the Gremlin Graphics software released a year later, in this game you were convicted of space piracy, starfleet offer you the chance to escape the death penalty by accepting a 'suicide' mission that only the very best Space Ace could survive.
