Like in the Nancy Drew series of games, the game revolves around roaming the neighbourhood, interrogating people, and gathering clues as well as information. The game is presented in an open third-person perspective, which, unlike in most mystery adventure games, allows players to roam around in full 3D instead of just clicking on various objects in order to progress through the game.

Around them is either earth, mud or stone. Bluppo can travel through the earth but not through stone, though some stones can be blown up with bombs. To complete a level Bluppo must collect the number of fish specified at the bottom of the screen and enter the exit gate. If Bluppo has not collected the correct number of fish, say because one died, then he will not be allowed to enter the exit gate and he will perish. All puzzles are timed and last as long as Bluppo's oxygen. There are six save game slots. The registered game has 60 one player levels, 60 two player levels, and Soundblaster support.

Fabulous Finds

Fabulous Finds

Nintendo DS - Released - September 21, 2009

An entrepreneur receives an inheritance from a Great Aunt, a house at Carmel, California. The place is in need of reform, so the things found inside are sold in a yard sale to fund the renovation. Fabulous Finds is a hidden object game with elements from other games. The game is divided in three main sections. The first is a hidden object challenge with a time limit, where the player has to search for objects on rooms from the house, to sell them later. Instead of the usual list at the side of the screen with names of required items, the game shows slots to store a general type of object, and the player has to click on things that correspond to the category or theme (for example, "Babies and Kids" for toys, "Yard and Garden" for gardening tools, and so on). Some objects need an extra item to make them work, like power chords and batteries, before they can be collected. Next comes the yard sale, shown in a isometric view, with all the items set on tables and the customers roaming around them. A list at the left side shows clues to what every patron wants ("woman in red wants to cart some rocks"). The player has to drag and drop the customers to their items. The final component is the decoration screen, where the money accumulated on the yard sale is spent on curtains, floor covers, furniture and other things. Clues appear that indicate the necessary items to improve the final rating, that goes up to 5 stars. Sometimes, a mini-game appears where objects have to be collected in the boxes of a storeroom

Tonka On the Job

Tonka On the Job

Nintendo Game Boy Advance - Released - November 15, 2006

Tonka On the Job is a light simulation game that allows players to construct and operate vehicles based on the American Tonka franchise of toy trucks. Typical trucks such as Mighty Dump, Mighty Front Loader, Toughest Mighty, Mighty Cement Mixer, Mighty Crane and others are used in different scenarios to build foundations, dig canals, clear trees and more. Every job starts at the Tonka Garage by deploying a vehicle. The gameplay is shown from a bird's-eye view in small 2D-scrolling environments with dirt yards, cities, gravel pits and forests. Every vehicle has a specific use. For instance, Mighty Dump can carry up to four loads of dirt and can dump the load anywhere. Jobs gradually become more complex as more vehicles are available and the player has to switch between them to complete the task. For instance the Mighty Front Loader is used to pick up certain types of dirt to load it onto the Mighty Dump which can transport it more efficiently. Once deployed it is possible to switch between vehicles on the fly. Sometimes additional tasks appear during a job with a time limit, such as unexpected fires that can be put out with the Rescue Fire Truck. Completing these is usually not required, but rewarded with bonus fuel. The performance per job is rated with up to three stars. Next to completing a job the game for instance also takes into account fuel efficiency, which is at its best if no redundant driving is done and the vehicle stays on the roads as much as possible. Later levels introduce dodging traffic. Special actions tied to specific vehicles also require more fuel. Most tasks have specific steps such as clearing, grading and constructing, but these do not always need to be completed in a fixed order. Often there are multiple approaches or solutions to get the job done. The game can be played as a series of jobs or with freeplay for unlimited construction and destruction through deformable moments. The GBA version contains 11 trucks and the PC version 13. While the PC version has a much higher resolution with sharper graphics drawn in a different style, the content itself including the gameplay and scenarios is largely identical.
