Overview
Castlemaze Adventure is a text adventure game where players explore a medieval castle to collect treasures and defeat enemies.
Players type commands to navigate rooms, gather items like a key, sword, and bow, and solve puzzles, such as unlocking a vault or shrinking to fit through a crack. They must avoid hazards like a sorcerer, a black knight, and a giant spider, using weapons to fight them, while collecting treasures to score points and win.
This game originally started life as Steven C. Darnold's enhanced and reworked port of Greg Hassett's 1978 game Sorcerer's Castle and later published in the 1983 book "Exploring Adventures on the B.B.C.".
