The Xbox Series X, and the Xbox Series S are ninth generation (2020-) video game consoles that were released on November 10, 2020. The Xbox Series S was a lower cost variant of the Xbox Series X, lacking a disk drive and the higher ended features of the Series X. Both consoles use a new storage solution, called the velocity architecture, to better transfer data within the console.
