Arctic Moves

Arctic Moves

Atari ST - Released - 2001

Arctic Moves is a 2-dimensional action-adventure game shooter game being the third chapter of the Moves Trilogy and followed by Army Moves in 1986 and Navy Moves in 1987. The game was developed by Dinamic Software and designed to be published for the Atari ST, but this version was not released due to Dinamic's Software bankruptcy (1992). The game was later ported for the PC MS-DOS based computers and published in 1995 by Dinamic Multimedia (founded by a part of Dinamic Software owners). The Atari ST version was finally developed by Luis Mariano Garcia (an ex member of Dinamic Software and later, Dinamic Multimedia). After being successful on his previous missions in Army Moves and Navy Moves, Derdhal must now travel to the Arctic and infiltrate a base held by aliens who want to use future human technology for their causes. A U-92 submarine takes Derdhal outside the arctic base and he must use his weapons and skills to finally find out what is going on. The game follows the issues of the previous ones, especially in difficulty levels.

Arctic Moves

Arctic Moves

Commodore Amiga - Homebrew - 2017

The message used our frequency, but it didn't come from any of our commanders. It couldn't be! After verifying its content, there was no room for doubt: a spaceship of our defense forces of the future had problems, but it had problems in our time. How was that possible? The ship has been infiltrated by foreign forces and was going to crash in the Arctic zone, which was under enemy control. The question arose immediately -- Could they seize our technology of the future...? It can't be allowed! Our best man must go into the enemy base to reach the rest of the ship and take off. Objective: to obtain our technology of the future. The mission doesn't seem easy. For that reason, it has been entrusted to Derdhal, who had already been victorious in dangerous missions in Army Moves and Navy Moves (with the same gaming style), demonstrating a deep knowledge of all the guerrilla techniques and expertise in handling computer networks. The U-92 submarine leads you to the enemy base. When you are above the frozen surface of the Arctic, there will be no return. Your first mission will start. Good Luck! You cannot fail. It's once again back to writing and it's a bit of a special one for this evening, as our good friend DamienD has recently contacted us through the Amiga forums of a new-ish release that has appeared on the Amiga as a port from the Atari ST by meynaf. This is ' Arctic Moves ', the sequel to Dinamic's very addictive yet incredibly difficult action platformer Navy Moves which first appeared in 1989.

JSince he is a professional on the bike, "Aspar" has always run in small displacements: 50cc., 80cc., and 125cc. Of all modes your driving style departs quite a bit from the traditional on these bikes. The normal thing is to sit quite back and so low as possible, fitting on the bike without going off the hook. Jorge was the first of the 80cc riders, to move a little butt to get off in curves and rub against the knee in the ground: it is better to note "where" the asphalt is and always You can support yourself with the knee brace on the floor so you do not fall they skid the tires ... They also sit higher and ahead, loading the weight on the handlebars enough to give more grip on the front wheel. In general, your driving style It is a bit closer to the one used by the 250cc riders. Y 500cc With all this, "Aspar" can give gas before the exit of the curve and leave accelerating when your rivals are still in full tilt. Anyway 80 and 125 can not be carried as a powerful 500 in what the most important thing is to accelerate soon to leave each curve. Here you have to brake very well and knock down a lot. In fact, it's normal for curves to go faster 80 and 125 than big bikes !. It's complicated to really take fast a small motorcycle, although if you call yourself "Aspar" everything is easier.

The only way to stop them is to destroy the planets in which they are located. With this purpose, MOXAT has been placing high-powered explosive charges for more than two years in the affected planets, and now it is time for you to detonate them. "Comando Tracer" is an arcade game in which we control a spaceship that is able to wear weapons and ionic piles, which we will need to detonate the explosives of each planet, before we arrive to the transport platform in order to go to the next planet/level.

A motorcycle racing game recreating the now-defunct 80cc world motorcycle racing championship. It was licensed around Spanish ace Jorge Martinez 'Aspar', and your (and his) racing rivals including future 500cc World Champion Alex Criville. The game features a full practice mode as well as qualifying and races. There are only 8 computer bikes, although the real life championship points system is used, meaning that the penalty for not finishing is bigger than in real life, especially as you only have 5 bikes to last the season. The game is viewed from overhead, and the controls are, unusually, direction based, so to take a straight which (in the overhead view) involves going up and to the right, you must push the joystick in that direction.

Armed with a big hammer, your job is to prevent the American Indians from reaching the tower behind your fort by hitting them on the head and putting out the fires that are thrown from the side. That's really it to the game -- new levels bring different backgrounds (battleship, castle and space base) with corresponding enemies (pirates, knights and aliens), but essentially the same gameplay. Hammer Boy is an Action game, developed and published by Dinamic Software, which was released in Europe in 1990. Do you still remember those fun old games, with no plot, where you simply wanted to set the high score? Well Hammer Boy is a game just like that. You’re a boy with a hammer (I bet you’d never guess that one) and your task is to protect the flag! The flag is flying on the top of the tower behind you and there are various enemies trying to take away. Every attack will last 99 seconds (see the counter in the top right corner) and then you’ll be taken to the next level. The enemies will try to climb into your base or otherwise damage it (in level one you need to fight off the Indians climbing a wooden fort and shooting burning arrows; the second level takes you to a pirate ship; the third one takes place in a medieval castle; the fourth one in a moon base; and so on). Now as you advance, everything gets more difficult, but you also get more equipment. At the moon base you already get to shoot lasers (when standing to the most right, or most left position). The graphics are nice enough, although the animation isn’t as smooth as it could be. The boy isn’t moving he simply disappears from one location and appears at the next one. The sound is nothing much, but it does the job. Have fun! Tons of fun!

Jorund, king of the Vikings, and father of our protagonist, has fallen for the deceits of Loki, Viking God of the lie. This deceit had as consequence the confinement of Jorund in the kingdom of Lukx, from where nobody has ever returned. Because of this deceit the Viking king has profaned the prohibited garden of the Norns. In there are found a great part of the treasure that the Gods keep jealous, as well as some of the nymphs more beautiful than ever a human eye has contemplated. Before such attractiveness, Jorund fell for the deceit of Loki and profaned the garden. The wrath of the Gods fell on him and their punishment did not take long: they would border to him to perpetuity to the kingdom of Lukx, where their inhabitants would give good account of the bones of our protagonist. But Hundra was not resigned to that her father died in that exile, and therefore, could not reach Valhalla, paradise of the viking warriors. Decided to change the fate of her father, she went to the Viking Mount Olympus where she convinced the Gods that her father had been deceived. They admitted their mistake, and saw that the punishment had been excessive; but their decisions were irrevocable and there was no way to save Jorund from his terrible end. Hundra offered to go to the kingdom of Lukx, and gather three sacred gems, stolen a long time ago from the Gods, to rescue her father.

La Guerra de las Vajillas

La Guerra de las Vajillas

Amstrad CPC - Released - 1988

Karapalo emperor, leader of the imperialistic forces, and his vaguely cleaned up lieutenant Darth Water, the cavalier with the most stinky breath of the galaxy, are the responsibles of the most tyrannic government the Universe has ever known. Only few planets and hundreds of men stay rebels to the oppression of the empire. You, Martín Luke Skywalker, are one of them. You live in the Tutuflex planet, a desertic place located thousands of years light from our Solar System. Centuries ago, their inhabitants lived calmly and peacefully without more preoccupations than annually collecting the fruits of the plantations of giant turnips, the only source of wealth of the planet. Tutuflex saw with certain unconcern how the forces of the Empire, long ago a reduced group of mercenaries of the worst kind, became one of the most powerful armies of the universe subduing an always rising number of planets, everything seemed so distant… Until a sad day, the forces of the empire arrived, and before the pacific inhabitants of Tutuflex had time to ask themselves what it was happening, they erased by laser all sign of life and peace of the surface of the planet. Now you are a man without land, without family, without future… in your heart there's only place for resentment and revenge. Having explained this, it would look (and indeed looks) as one of the most dramatic ways to start an adventure, if it wasn't because it's actually a parody of Star Wars ("La Guerra de las Galaxias", not "Vajillas", in Spanish). Besides title, you will also notice that all names of characters, places, etc have been modified in order to make the Spanish user more familiar -in a non-serious way- with them. Add to it that even the most tense situations will have a joke surrounding them, and as a result you have the first integral humorous adventure ever made in Spain.

Mega Phoenix

Mega Phoenix

Atari ST - Released - 1991

Mega Phoenix brings the concept of the earlier arcade game Phoenix into the 90s, to the extent that a coin-op version was later made by Gaelco. The game is a single-screen shoot ‘em up in which the player moves left to right while shooting several waves. There is a shield function available, which lasts for a short period of time (after which it must recharge to be used again) and it paralyses the craft while active. The first waves consist of several small alien beings in a set pattern, which move down from the fleet towards the player at random intervals- contacts with these kills the player. Deadly phoenixes firing at you come next, followed by the Mega Phoenix itself and then a final boss, before it all repeats with higher difficulty.

Megacorp

Megacorp

MS-DOS - Released - 1989

In the XXII century the universe is dominated by two major forces born after decades of major wars: the Empire and the Hark Federation. Being both of them expansionist governments, frictions in their borders are almost constant. Within the Empire, the biggest power after the emperor himself, are the Mega Corporations, financial partnerships that control every aspect of people's lives. With power of life and death, these Mega-Corp, as they are familiarly known, extend their tentacles by the Cosmos in search of riches to extract or eventually snatch. The federal system consists in the "adoption" under its tutelage of technologically poor planetary systems in general, although rich in material or manpower that are invariably employed in improving the resources of the originary Hark planets. "Megacorp" is a conversational adventure with static graphics in which you will take part of the Imperial federation. Your exact mission would be guiding your operative agent to get control of the situation on the GEA-3 planet. You should, helping rebel groups, overthrow the government, now in the hands of The Federation. Your craft will land on the forest surrounding the rebel base. Cross the lake, pass police checks and find your link to be identified by their status as merchant in fur, from here follow his instructions. The mission is risky but the reward is great, if you make GEA-3 planet be part of the Empire, you will get immensely rich.

Meganova: The Weapon

Meganova: The Weapon

Sinclair ZX Spectrum - Released - 1988

Hi, my name is Philip Sunset, but my friends call me "long hands" and my office is one of the best remunerated of the galaxy, I am an illegal appropriator of objects that I do not own, although there are people who vulgarly call it "thief". And this time I am involved in a very undesirable situation. The thing is that I took the Sprocket System "landed", apparently one of the most secret treasures of the Drowhar army. But, as usual, these boys are not very happy and have decided to convert me into cosmic phosphate, something that wouldn't be so easy for them. I was contracted as a pilot by the Terra-1 confederation interstellar forces, although it wouldn't be bad at all if you could help me...

Michel Futbol Master

Michel Futbol Master

Sinclair ZX Spectrum - Released - 1989

Michel is, as we all know, the real star of Real Madrid and the Spanish national team. He is an idol now. But in his day he also had his idols: Vicente del Bosque and Italian Antognioni, among others, were the figures in which he was reflected to get where he is right now. That's why Michel wants, through this video-game, to give encouragement to all those kids who are just starting to play football: "I would say to a guy who starts watching the game, because I think it's quite stimulating to play soccer. that way and one more way to approach learning to play it. When I was a child, I did not have a computer, but I did have the "madness" to cut players' cards and play football with them. Now you have the opportunity to do it with a computer, which is much more fun ». Apart from everything, Michel as a professional has his own business card: four consecutive consecutive league champions, two UEFA Cups, a Super Cup, a League Cup, a Copa del Rey, two times a European Cup semifinalist and , in addition, indisputable holder of the Spanish selection as much with Miguel Muñoz as with Luis Suárez. This is just the sports record of a great player. But Michel is not only the best in the field. It is also outside. Smiling and accompanied by Ricardo Gallego appeared through the offices of DINAMIC oozing kindness and good humor. The first point of the itinerary was to see the game that, as he told me later, he thought it was fantastic because of his performance and because he managed to get close to the sport of football, which in his opinion is really difficult. Here we show the skill tests or SUPERSKILLS, which impressed him and Gallego, who did not stop joking at any time. In short, an experience that MICHEL himself has found very pleasant and we are sure that all of you will like it.
