Sharp X68000 - Released - December 15, 1989

Kazumi Kinoshita and Sanae Kanazawa are two high school girls who go on a school trip together with their classmates. Abunai Tengu Densetsu is an adventure game with menu-based navigation and input. Most screens offer a fairly long list of verb commands, some of which must be combined with objects or persons selected from a sub-menu in order to interact with the environment. The game allows the player to visit many different rooms and other locations in any order; however, certain events must be triggered in order to advance, sometimes by repeatedly selecting commands. Certain situations require the player to find items and use them in a different location. The game contains scenes with explicit nudity and sexual situations.

Ayumi-chan Monogatari

Ayumi-chan Monogatari

NEC PC-9801 - Released - September 15, 1993

The premise of Ayumi-chan Monogatari is rather simple: the protagonist, a young boy named Kouichi, is in love with the most beautiful girl in his school, Ayumi Kawai. One day she admits that she also loves him, and they begin a relationship. The game starts when the two are already together, and is dedicated entirely to their dates - which consist mostly of sex. The game can be therefore considered a basic dating/sex simulation. Kouichi and Ayumi meet everyday, and the player, controlling Kouichi, can sometimes decide where they go - though the interaction is quite limited. The player can also choose sex-related commands during the intimate part of their date, raising Ayumi's pleasure meter and unlocking new pictures.

D.P.S Dream Program System SG Set 2

D.P.S Dream Program System SG Set 2

NEC PC-9801 - Released - April 15, 1991

D.P.S. SG Set 2 is the third entry in the D.P.S./Dream Program System series. Like the other D.P.S. games, it is a collection of three short scenarios, which are unrelated to each other story-wise and can be played separately. Those scenarios are presented as cartridges played on a fictional console named Dream Program System. Each scenario allows the player to choose between two different protagonists, or two different personalities for the protagonist. All of the scenarios feature nudity and/or sexual situations. The scenarios in this game include: A horror story entitled Antique House, in which a young couple is trapped at night in a secluded haunted mansion, possessed by monsters. The player can choose the personality of the female character before beginning, influencing the story with this choice. A modern-day story without any supernatural elements, entitled Red Night. The protagonist is a man who finds himself in a hotel when a fire starts. Trying to escape, he enters a room occupied by a prostitute. The following events evolve slightly differently, depending on the personality choice made by the player before the start of the game. A sequel to the second episode of the first D.P.S. game. Once again, the player chooses either the male doctor Katsuki or the female doctor Katsumi whose goal is to seduce the patient, the cute school girl Yumiko. The gameplay is the same as in other D.P.S. games. At almost every screen, the player is given a number of choices, which correspond to answers or actions, according to the situation. Some choices are required to trigger the next event and advance in the game, others are "neutral", having no effect on the progress, while a few are considered "bad" by the game, leading to Game Over. Scenes, dialogue choices, and story events may vary slightly or significantly, depending on the choice of character in the beginning of a scenario.

The scenarios in this game include: A rather mundane depiction of a young couple's day directly after their wedding. The two return home and prepare for the "big event" in the night. The player can choose to control either the husband or the wife. A story entitled Graduation, which begins with a rather standard premise of a shy high school boy trying to express his love to a pretty school mate. However, the events take an unexpected turn when a dragon appears and the girl is hurt. The player can determine the personality of the hero before the start of the episode. A bizarre fantasy tale with the title Rabbit P4P. The protagonist follows a mysterious "bunny girl" into a fairy tale-like realm, where he has to figure out what to do in order to win the graces of magical creatures, which look like young and pretty women. The personality choice influences the hero's attitude in this episode as well. The gameplay is the same as in other D.P.S. games. At almost every screen, the player is given a number of choices, which correspond to answers or actions, according to the situation. Those scenarios are presented as cartridges played on a fictional console named Dream Program System. Each scenario allows the player to choose between two different protagonists, or two different personalities for the protagonist. All of the scenarios feature nudity and/or sexual situations. Daiteikoku

Daiteikoku

Windows - April 28, 2011

Daiteikoku, literally translating as "big empire", is set as a space-themed epic novel and parody reminiscent of World War II. Players follow the colorful and extensive cast of characters---many of whom are inspired by figures in world history (in a style similar to a certain popular anime)---as they enact the major events which defined the World War II period alongside a slew of anime-style tropes, hijinks, and amorous interactions with the game's main protagonist. As a full-fledged eroge, Daiteikoku features several erotic encounters between the protagonist, Tougou Tsuyoshi, and the game's female cast. (No yaoi or yuri scenes are depicted in this game.) Scenes are obtained by completing specific events and gameplay objectives. For those who wish to enjoy the game without viewing erotic content, all but a few brief occurences can be skipped simply by not selecting "H" events where available, which are clearly marked.

Dream Program System SG

Dream Program System SG

Fujitsu FM Towns Marty - Released - September 15, 1990

D.P.S. SG is the second entry in the D.P.S./Dream Program System series. The scenarios in this game include: A traditional account of a private lesson given by an experienced male tutor to a cute teenage girl. It can be played as either the teacher or the student, the latter involving deliberately giving wrong answers to English questions in order to gain time to seduce the teacher. An episode entitled Fahnen Fliegen (German for "flags flying"), depicting capture and torture of a female war prisoner by an SS officer. The player can choose to control the officer, effectively torturing the victim himself, or take the role of a soldier who tries to ease her pain, hoping to gain her sexual favors. A scenario set in the Sengoku period of the Japanese history, in the house of the famous warlord Oda Nobunaga. It is possible to play this scenario as Nobunaga himself, or as his daughter, the spoiled princess. In either case, the goal is to seduce the cute maid who works in the house.

Gakuen King: Hidehiko Gakkou o Tsukuru

Gakuen King: Hidehiko Gakkou o Tsukuru

Fujitsu FM Towns Marty - Released - June 7, 1996

In the year 30 of the Meiji era in Japan (end of 19th century), a powerful family of Japanese oligarchs (zaibatsu) known as "Amatsukami" has constructed an artificial island and ruled over it, basically creating a state within a state. They had high hopes of building the "Japan of the future" and educating the young ones: the central place on the island was dedicated to a high school. But years have passed, and the youngsters rebelled against the oligarchs. Chaos reigned on the island, and even terrorist attacks were not uncommon. Amatsukami Hidehiko, the last (and youngest) of the oligarchs, decides to change the way of things. Using his charisma, but also more violent tactics, he goes to the troubled school to deal personally with anyone who dares oppose him. Gakuen King is a peculiar mixture of typical Japanese RPG with random turn-based battles, strategy elements (recruiting students to join Hidehiko's army), and adventure elements ("search" command, finding and manipulating items), with extended sex scenes that have Japanese adventure-style menu-based interaction. The basic gameplay is that of a top-down RPG: Hidehiko walks around, fights random enemies, levels up, etc. The combat system is rather basic: Hidehiko's party (or, better to say, army) is treated like a single character - the player is only able to give general commands (attack, use special powers, retreat, etc.), after which the battle unfolds automatically. That is why the player also has to focus on adventure-like exploration to solve problems and overcome obstacles, as well as constantly enlarging the army to become stronger.

This port of the original PC-8801 release centers around a young man exploring a house full of young women, and his adventures within. Little Vampire

NEC PC-9801 - Released - May 5, 1988

Little Vampire is an adventure-style visual novel (ADV) published in Japan by AliceSoft's predecessor company, Champion Soft, in 1988. The game was later included as a bonus on the PC-98 release of Rance IV. Little Vampire is the direct sequel to Little Princess, and continues the adventures of Kurusu Miki and Ogawa Kentarou after their escape from Dracula's Castle. The events of the game would later be retconned into the timeline of the Rance series, with Dracula developing into the Demon King Gi, and the game's central antagonist, Ramon C. Burksham becoming one of the earliest-appearing Dark Lords. Unlike the game's predecessor, Little Vampire is an all-ages title, one of the only such titles in the Rance series. Characters from this game appear in Party Game Hopper alongside characters from Chotto Meitantei and Gakuen Senki. Little Vampire was the first game released to make use of the System platform. The game was later ported to DOS as a 16-bit application by WAO, who remembered it as both "very memorable" and "very difficult." The DOS port was eventually developed through fan efforts to be playable on modern-day Windows systems. It was given an English translation in early 2020. Story After Miki's kidnapping by the vampire king, Dracula, Kentarou has managed to rescue her. But Dracula died too easy, leaving Kentarou with peculiar dying words: "And now... I die in peace..." The two take refuge in a nearby town, determined to find a way back to their home world. Starved for food and money, they will have to find a way to survive and ultimately escape. Monsters patrol the area, whispering about a "Little Princess," and a ruined church tower looms in the distance, said to corrupt all comers. And Dracula's curse lingers...

Mūgen Hōyō is a visual novel with multiple choices and plot lines. It takes place entirely in the mansion, and follows Kuon's life on a daily basis. Otome Senki

NEC PC-9801 - Released - 1996

Otome Senki is set in 16th century, during the Sengoku ("Warring States") period of Japanese history. The plot of the game is rather simple: an unnamed princess is kidnapped by demons, and the warlord Oda Nobunaga calls the bravest warriors to rescue her. However, all the men are either gravely wounded or unwilling to fight. Nine young maidens join forces and venture into a monster-infested dungeon to rescue the princess. The game is a pseudo-3D dungeon crawler. Most of the game is spent exploring the maze-like dungeon (no auto-map feature), solving the simple puzzles (such as pulling switches) and finding the correct way. Enemies appear randomly and are engaged in turn-based combat. Each one of the nine heroines has different combat statistics and abilities: some are oriented towards sword techniques, others focus on support, etc. The player can build a party of four maidens out of the available nine. If the entire party is defeated in the dungeon, the player can assemble a second party and continue the game. Otome Senki contains scenes with nudity. Some of the enemies in the game are half- or completely naked young women.

Rance 01: Quest for Hikari

Rance 01: Quest for Hikari

Windows - September 27, 2013

This game is a remake of "Rance -Quest for Hikari-" from 1989. The original menu-based adventure game has been revamped with a new script, new graphics, new sounds, and a new battle system. First-time buyers can just think of this as the first adventure of the Rance series, and players familiar with the original can enjoy the changes that have been made to the characters and story. Gameplay For the most part, this is an adventure game where your choices determine what actions you take to progress through the story. And obviously, danger goes hand in hand with adventure. Some choices might lead to you taking damage and dying unexpectedly, while others might lead to fortuitous encounters... Enjoy the game by taking plenty of detours along the way. Dungeons where monsters appear, like forests or caves, are represented by cards. Will you fight a monster? Find treasure? Fall into a trap? Choose cards carefully when proceeding to your destination. If the card is face-down, you won't know what it's hiding. It could be rare treasure, or a powerful monster... If you encounter a monster, a battle using weapon and shield "chips" begins. Will you play multiple weapons for a powerful attack, throw in shields for defense, save disposable weapons for an all-out attack, or do something else entirely... Well planned combos are the name of the game here. Though, that doesn't mean brute forcing it won't work. Buy weapons and shields at the shop to put together your own unique style of combat. Story Brutal warrior Rance's mind is filled to the brim with thoughts of fucking girls. And wherever he goes, screams of beautiful women resound. He's been traveling around randomly with the mage girl he recently bought, Sill, but now he has a different purpose in mind. His target this time... Or rather, his destination, is the Kingdom of Leazas, which is known to be the most wealthy nation in the world. The daughter of a noble family, Hikari, who attended Paris Academy there, has gone missing, and he's taken up a quest to find her. Rance sets off to enjoy the beauties of Leazas! ...And while he's there, he'll find Hikari and enjoy her too, of course.

Rance 02: The Rebellious Maidens

Rance 02: The Rebellious Maidens

Windows - Released - December 18, 2009

Ten years prior to the story, four young girls in the town of Kathtom were appointed as disciples to an old mage named Ragishss. They were to be raised as mages and work as the town's guardians after their training completed. However, after the ten years, the girls suddenly rebelled against Ragishss and killed him. During the harsh magic battle, the entire town was entombed underground and a barrier spell was placed on it, preventing anyone from leaving, including the maidens who terrorized the town. The four maidens were soon to be known as Four Witches of Kathtom. Rance sets out with Sill to defeat the four witches and save the city from their grasp, however, as the story progresses, they find out that the witches had their personalities altered and twisted by the power of the rings they wear. The rings greatly enhance a user's magical potential, but can only be used by maidens. Having said that, the only way to release them from the rings is to have their virginity taken, and who else but Rance is up for such a job?

Rance VI: The Collapse of Zeth

Rance VI: The Collapse of Zeth

Windows - August 27, 2004

Rance VI -The Collapse of Zeth- (Rance VI -????-) is the sixth installment of the Rance Series, released in August 27th 2004 in Japan. A new uncensored version translated in english was also released via MangaGamer on the 23rd December 2016. Despite the fact that 5D was released earlier, Rance VI is usually considered the beginning of the new Rance timeline set after Kichikuou Rance, due to the much bigger scale of the game along with the fact that it takes place in LP0004, leaving the year LP0003 where Kichikuou Rance would have taken place as "the missing year", since the canonical events of that year weren't adapted into games. It was also from this point that many details of the lore and the setting were better established and given further detail. VI is a turn-based dungeon crawler RPG with a unique system that limits the amount of times a character can be deployed in battle per dungeon, forcing the player to strategically organize how to use the characters through each dungeon in order to get to the end with the most optimal party, since it features dozens of playable characters with a different skillset that work better for different circumstances. It is often considered to be among the best of the series due to its well-written and developed plotline, vast array of characters, fun and addicting gameplay and unique setting.

Super D.P.S

Super D.P.S

Sharp X68000 - Released - October 15, 1992

Super D.P.S. is the fifth entry in the D.P.S./Dream Program System series. The scenarios in this game include: A rather disturbing tale entitled Maria and Kanpan, which focuses on a young female robot specialist who falls asleep and is sexually "explored" by one of the robots. The player can view the events from either the girl's or the robot's point of view. An adventurous scenario, which depicts the dangers encountered by a young couple in a tropical forest populated by local tribes. The two are imprisoned and have to find a way to escape. The player can choose to control either the heroine or the hero. A scenario with sci-fi elements, involving a famous female space pirate named Camelia, who raids a space ship together with her pretty lieutenant. The story varies according to the player's choice to control Camelia herself, or a male soldier on the ship who captures Camelia's lieutenant.

NEC PC-9801 - Released - November 14, 1992

Super D.P.S. is the fifth entry in the D.P.S./Dream Program System series. The scenarios in this game include: A rather disturbing tale entitled Maria and Kanpan, which focuses on a young female robot specialist who falls asleep and is sexually "explored" by one of the robots. The player can view the events from either the girl's or the robot's point of view.
