2 Shot Diary 2: Memory 1/4

NEC PC-9801 - Released - December 9, 1995

This is the first of the four episodic games that constitute the sequel to first 2 Shot Diary game. Unlike the first game with its 12 different scenarios, it only contains 2, and both are very short; however (also unlike the first game), most of the scenes here are animated. Both scenarios consist entirely of depictions of explicit sex. One of the scenarios is about a girl named Yukari; after her father died, she had to look for a job, and finally became a maid in a mansion of a rich oligarch, who molests her sexually. The other scenario is dedicated to a very young girl named Emi, who goes with her friends to the beach. Once she finds herself in a secluded place, a young boy approaches, and the two have sex. The gameplay follows the same template that was utilized in 2 Shot Diary: text and graphical scenes unfold automatically, and the player's input is restricted to choosing words from a list to fill blanks in sentences. This allows the player to interpret the events in various ways, effectively "writing" the girl's diary on his own.

The other scenario deals with a schoolgirl named Mai. She is ambushed by a gang of men who undress her and use her as a "plate" to arrange seafood on, which involves perversities which better remain unnamed.

Leaving something behind is a hard task, Niles knows it all too well. Yet, it keeps on beckoning him. 96 is a short, story-driven horror-esque LGBT+ game. It is set in a small, post-apocalyptic island that has long been left in shambles by an unknown ailment. It was made in RPG Maker MV, but it is more akin to a visual novel game/walking simulator game than an rpg. As such, the narration is prioritized over the gameplay. It is by no means a game suited for a younger audience, please be aware of that. If you'd like to know more about the game (beware of spoilers), we had some lovely people write articles about it! Please feel free to contact us if you would like to proofread the game officially. TW : the game is quite dark and heavy and was made with an adult audience in mind, so please be careful.

AI Roguelite

Windows - Released - March 2, 2022

Introducing AI Roguelite, the world's first text-based RPG where every location, NPC, enemy, item, crafting recipe, and game mechanic is 100% determined by artificial intelligence. If you've ever played other AI "games" such as AI Dungeon and were frustrated by how they didn't feel like a game, then AI Roguelite might be the perfect game for you. AI-generated entities: What weapons might you find in an underwater city? Which enemies might you find? Where else can you go from there? All these questions are answered by a GPT text generation AI, so you can explore a truly infinite world. AI-generated crafting recipes: What item could you make if combining a wooden stick with a rock? What about a computer chip with a zombie brain? The AI decides which item should be produced, based on the names of the ingredients. AI-generated combat: What happens when you try to attack a "terminator robot" with a "raw salmon"? There are no traditional item stats. Instead, whether an attack is successful depends entirely on its AI-generated name and description, as well as your attribute roll check (which is also AI-determined). The AI then generates a plausible story for what happens when you use it against the enemy. Finally, the AI is fed its own story, from which it tries to figure out whether the enemy was killed, injured, or unharmed. AI-generated illustrations: Every entity gets an illustration generated by Stable Diffusion technology using either your GPU or the cloud.

Aitakute... Your Smiles in My Heart

Aitakute... Your Smiles in My Heart

Sony Playstation - Released - March 16, 2000

You're in tenth grade, your parents are out of the country for a year, and your new private school has affairs of the heart as a major elective. If that isn't reason enough to get chummy with the opposite sex, you're also a teenage male, and your father has decided that he'll find you a "really nice" girlfriend if you can't do it yourself. Throw in the fact that the only person you know at this new school is a Casanova who turned down a top-ten prep school because it wasn't coed, and one has the ingredients for a good old-fashioned romance sim. As Shinya Ichinose, the player examines a variety of sloe-eyed high school girls through his daily interactions with them in the school environment. Once their characters, dispositions, and interest (or lack thereof) in the player become more clear through their own statements and interactive events, the pursuit phase begins. The first goal--one that is traditionally laid out as the be-all and the end-all in romance sims--is to make yourself agreeable to the girl and eventually ask her out on a date. The tedious details of daily life can be taken care of selecting "Everyday Goals" in the auto-play configuration. Personality parameters can be adjusted either to the player's tastes or some chosen girl's preferences. For the more important things, manual play mode will allow the player to arrange the hot date by phoning to ask a girl out, reserving concert tickets, and buying presents. The player can also stake out a nice romantic spot or find a part-time job to pay for all this extravagance. Unlike most romance sims, Aitakute's game play extends beyond the actual asking out. The player can take his (or her) new girlfriend to a cafe, karaoke bar, or a pretty hillside and do most of the things that typically happen on a date, whether it be talking or kissing. One wrong comment or an inappropriate choice of venue could sour the event, however, and the player is left to attempt damage control. The major hallmark of success in this game is something quite unlikely: nicknames. The player selects a nickname to be given to Shinya by one of the girls on the first day of school, and as Shinya builds a more intimate relationship with whomever the woman of his choice may be, she will start to refer to him by that name. Conversely, the woman will also allow Shinya the privilege of calling her by a pet name.

As the last bastion of humanity, the city of Novus Aether floats in the sky above the inhospitable surface, powered by the daily prayers of the Saint. More than a decade ago, due to the interruption of the prayer, the "Gran Forte" occurred, causing part of the city to fall to the surface and splitting the lower city in two. In time, the lowest layer became the dwelling of all kinds of low-lives, people who lost much of their former lives during the "Gran Forte," becoming known as the "Prison." However, a contagious disease that causes people to grow wings has spread throughout the city. A special unit has been formed to deal with these people swiftly. In this "Prison" resides Caim Astraea, a freelance ex-assassin who does odd jobs for his friends for money, refusing jobs that require him to kill people. During one request, Caim finds a girl who contracts the wing-disease, enveloped in a light that reminds Caim of the "Gran Forte" years ago...

Akagawa Jiro: Tsuki no Hikari: Shizumeru Kane no Satsujin

Sony Playstation 2 - Released - May 23, 2002

Based on the novel by Akagawa Jirou, the story puts you in a role of a high-school teacher who due to a painful breakup leaves his old workplace and comes to a far away place to start a new job at Bell Garden school. While taking a stroll, a woman's scream is heard... you run to see what is happening, and the mystery begins. You can select main character to be a man or a woman, which slightly influences the game scenario (when the player is a man, his partner will be a woman and vice-versa). Game progress advances as a mystery novel. As the case becomes obvious you will investigate and use deductive skills to find out the culprit and the motive behind the crime. During the gameplay you can visit various places and check the map of the Bell Garden school and its surroundings. During investigation and story progress, you will use a character correlation diagram to connect a certain person with the matter at hand. Also, the diagram can be used to make relations between characters (for example to mark them as lovers). Story can have more endings, depending on the player's deduction and skills to solve the case. After a solved case, if available, a new scenario will open.
