Babel Sword

Babel Sword

MUGEN - Homebrew

Babel Sword is a shoot ’em up/versus fighting game hybrid created by Shiyo Kakuge using the M.U.G.E.N fighting game engine for the PC. It was only released in Japan. The player controls a selectable M.A.R.S., mechs not unlike gundams, to take one of five sides in a conflict over Earth’s resources. The game is notable for being the only hybrid of the two genres made for the engine, an irony given the engine for fighting games was originally designed for shooting games. The game requires the engine be downloaded separately and to have the EXE and dlls put in the root folder to function (this is due to the engine’s EULA). Gameplay is not unlike that of WarTech: Senko no Ronde. The player selects a pilot and a M.A.R.S. (Machines of Assured Resourceful Structures, the game’s gundam-like mechs). While pilot selection has no effect on the gameplay at all, each mech fights in a very different manner, making for variety.

I have assembled quite a huge roster of DC-universe and Marvel-universe characters, songs and stages. In this version, you will need to win two fights to win a fight. New Characters: Added characters, from the original 252 characters in the game (present in Superheroes 2000 V4.3, the mod of wich i modified before replacing the screenpack with my own and adding everything from scratch- to not irritate that mods creator), to 304 characters in the game, and 413 characters in the char-folder. I have not only added characters, but also replaced some characters with other better versions of these characters- or with completely new ones. The best characters are already in-game, and the lesser characters are not. New Stages: Added stages, from the original 92 stages, to 112 stages in this new version. New music: Added music from the original 92 songs, to like 108 songs or something like that.

I created the character Akito, however, I want to make it clear that he's not me, but I like my OC so much that I've gotten used to people calling me that name. And the creator of sprites are based in old Ortsac char, work of is Ariel Castro (ArielAlexCo), my thanks for him. Akito is the protagonist of a novel that I've been writing for many years, which I intend to release until the middle of next year, and Mugen helped me with several things, including better structuring the story I made for him previously within Mugen. Akito's version of the story on Capcom vs. Snk Mugen (my other screenpack) will be revamped, so consider THIS his official Akito story. The story consists of a sacred scroll that is placed as a prize in a martial arts tournament, but there is more to it than that. Events focus on Ryu, Kyo and Akito, where you understand everything better if you play with them. I could talk more about the aesthetics of the game I used itself, but I don't want to make this post bigger than it already is, so enjoy, download and enjoy.

There's a mix of 25 playable good guys and bad guys from the DC universe, with lots of variety in the backgrounds and stages. The game is easy to pick up and play with a move list shown before each fight, while requiring some practice to master the combo system and special moves. An illegal experiment is conducted deep in the bowels of the Maddicorp complex, called "S.H.A.D.E." (Synthetic Heightening of Attributes and Dynamics Experiment), in which a team of geneticists worked hand in hand with another team of scientists to create a synthetic gene that could be manually spliced into a living human's DNA. The gene causes the subject to develop special abilities, unique to each person depending on their existing genetic structure. All of the subjects were either volunteers who were at rock bottom in their lives, or people taken from prisons, asylums, or off the streets that would not be missed. The experiment is going well until one subject, Kane Kelly, who has unfortunately managed to remain conscious during his 2-year incubation in a liquid-filled stasis chamber, basically is driven insane. The liquid in the stasis chambers, which usually had been emptied, filtered, and refilled by machine periodically, needed to be sanitized manually due to a programming error. Kelly saw his chance during this and broke out of his chamber using his new-found abilities (he could manifest a nigh-invulnerable and super strong ethereal being that was bonded to his body), killing nearly every scientist involved in the project. He awoke every other subject and opened their chambers before leaving, allowing them to slowly regain consciousness and escape. The game takes place a few years after this. Moses Maddigan now has a team of mercenaries dubbed "The Collection Agency," who search for and capture the subjects. Snow and Sabotage are the main protagonists.

TMNT x Justice League Turbo

TMNT x Justice League Turbo

MUGEN - Homebrew - December 3, 2021

INTRODUCTION Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles x Justice League Turbo is an independent, fan-made fighting game developed by Kamekaze (aka OldEra) in the IKEMEN fighting game engine, acting as an updated re-release of the original TMNTxJL. Being a crossover between Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Tournament Fighters and Justice League Task Force, the game combines these two titanic properties into a single competitive fighting game package, deliberately designed to be a throwback to the most beloved fighting games of the 16-bit era, with simple controls, a cast of fan-favorite characters with lots of powerful tools at their disposal, and a fast match pace with a heavy emphasis on good old-fashioned footsies, as well as a few unique mechanics of its own, all to provide an experience that will be familiar to fans of the fighting games of yore, but with just enough new features to keep things fresh and interesting. STORY This game takes place during the ending of Justice League Task Force in which a defeated Darkseid escapes to another dimension in search of the Anti-Life equation in which he would use it to dominate any and all universes. Upon learning it is in the dimension he escapes to he makes it his sole mission to find it there. However the very dimension he finds himself in is a parallel universe in which he and all others are seen as comic book characters and nothing more. Meanwhile, Despero found the opening in space time and used it to track down the Justice League for his own purposes. This very place is populated by the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. In search of the equation Darkseid immediately begins reducing entire regions to ash and his very presence causes the world to change. A new power source has revealed itself due to this cosmic imbalance and every living thing is affected by it. It was later referred to as the "Omega Factor". The omega factor, also known as the omega effect began to manifest itself in all people in different ways depending on the amount of hatred in their hearts. Because of this the world began to fall into chaos over time. As Darkseid began his search for the Anti-life equation he felt a huge amount of hatred in an abandoned missile silo. There he found a very dead Shredder. He resurrected him which gave him massive amounts of power and gave Darkseid a powerful enforcer to deal with anyone who got in his way. When he read his mind he learned just who Shredder hated and permitted him to exact his revenge before joining him. Back at the Turtle's hideout, Donatello's monitor alerted him that a huge amount of activity was detected at the very place they defeated shredder a year ago. When they arrived they found a barely coherent shredder and a dead Karai behind him. They tried to fight him but was swiftly defeated one by one. When it appeared that it was all over, a familiar face appeared to help them escape. Raphael immediately recognized him as Batman and was finally able to prove that they did meet and that he is real. Batman explained the situation to them back at their hideout and they began to search for the other Justice League members hoping they were also transported to this dimension. After a lengthy search they began dealing with the chaos the Omega Effect was bringing to most of the planet as best they could. Eventually superman noticed a huge amount of lava pluming from the pacific ocean and was able to identify that Darkseid was there. The final plan to take him out was established and they split up to initiate it. The plan went well and it appeared Darkseid was on the ropes, but he revealed to them that he found exactly what he was looking for and tapping into that gave him even more power as he branded himself "Darkseid Omega" ruler of all existence. A combined effort by the heroes and unlikely anti-heroes were able to subdue him before he became too powerful. They then noticed the rift in space was beginning to close and they made preparations to get the Justice League and their dimensional affiliates back home. As they said their final good byes, the turtles and company couldn't help but notice a new series of planets that was a cosmic result of the entire affair setting up the events of TMNT Tournament Fighters for the Sega Genesis.
